Soccer Skills School
Winning Back Morecambe’s West End organised for 20 local children to take part in a 4 day Soccer Skills School during February Half Term.
The pupils are in Year 4 and 5 from West End Primary School and Sandylands Primary School. It was free for the children to join in with a healthy lunch and snacks provided. The players were taught football skills but more importantly they were encouraged to show good behaviour and team building skills. Each child had a personal development plan and a progress report. The fully qualified Football Association coach, along with his assistants worked with the children to encourage positive attitudes and reward good behaviour, helpfulness and team spirit. Each child was awarded with a commemorative medal and free tickets to see a football match, cinema tickets or bowling passes.
