Welcome to the new West End Bulletin magazine where we will bring you all of the latest developments from the Winning Back Morecambe’s West End team, who are delivering the West End Masterplan and we will also bring you news from our colleagues in the West End Partnership. There will be lots of exciting changes ahead, but we will keep you informed by delivering this magazine straight to your door and we would also like to hear from you! There is more information on how you can get involved inside this issue.

OPEN FOR BUSINESS

The Winning Back Morecambe’s West End team are now based at our office on Albert Road and are open for business.

The team has been set up by Lancaster City Council to lead the implementation of the Masterplan and the wider regeneration of the West End. They are responsible for purchasing the property selected by the Masterplan and are working closely alongside the West End Partnership.

NEWS ROUNDUP

Many months of preparation have gone into the planning to transform the West End of Morecambe into a great place to live work and play. The Council’s Cabinet have looked at the plans in great detail and are pleased to give the scheme the go-ahead. Many local residents have been involved in the consultation process, and your input has been greatly appreciated.

We can now report on some of the significant developments that are happening at the moment and other plans that are shaping up for the future.

Work on the former Frontierland site is moving forward with Lancaster City Council’s Planning Committee granting permission for a mixed use scheme including residential properties, a hotel, ....more >
